Introduction to the Victoria Falls

They have been roaring since 150 million years and were discovered by the famous explorer David Livingstone in november 1855. Situated on the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia, it is one of the most spectacular natural sites : The Victoria Falls.
A water curtain of 1,7km collapses from a 108m high-cliff at its deepest point. Its several view points are amongst the most exceptional on the planet. This is where the Zambezi river (1668m wide) cascades into a giant gorge for more than 100 meters;  During high water levels in April, an amazing amount  of 600 million liters a minute drop on its way to the Indian Ocean.

Visit the Falls from the Zimbabwean or the Zambian side for an unforgettable show!
Combine this site with one of our Southern African destinations (2 or 3 nights).
